Summer in Toronto is perfect for a sketchbook and some friends
Ever arrived at September wondering where the summer months went?
Me too.
Let's change that this year by visiting a different location in our beautiful city each month.
Sketch, paint, do nature journaling, anything you enjoy, in the company of other artists.

ABOUT
Hi, I'm Alisa
I work with artists to support them as they build their businesses. I also maintain a drawing and painting practice.
When September rolls around I often feel like I haven't made the most of the summer, so I'm changing that this year. Each month of the summer I'll be sketching at one of the Toronto locations listed above.
It would be amazing if you came along too!

FAQs
Nope, you're welcome to come when you're available. Bring your own supplies, stay as long as you like.
There's no entry fee to Riverdale Farm or the Toronto Music Gardens. There is a fee to enter the Casa Loma building, but we will not be entering. We'll be outdoors on the grounds of the property. There are also the stables and Spadina House nearby, the grounds of which are free to enter.
Then I hope you'll come to the next one!
Nope, you only need to have the desire to draw or paint outdoors.
Please note there will not be instruction provided, this isn't a teaching event. But it's always fun to see how other people work.
Not at all. You only need to want to spend time with your sketchbook in good company!
While there is no instruction provided, I encourage asking others about their techniques and thought processes.
As a (recovering) introvert, I get it. We'd rather stay in our studios, happily working alone.
Until we feel lonely, until there's no one to appreciate that really tricky bit of the drawing that you barely saved from being a total disaster, until we wonder how someone else might solve this same problem.
The good news is that most of the artists I've met are thoroughly lovely humans. Chances are high that you'll like them too.
We can't all live here I suppose. If you like this idea and want to do it in your own city or town, please do!
You don't need to get a whole webpage like this. You can just ask a few friends to join you for the outings! If you want to create an info page like this, and invite the larger art community where you live, even better!
